This isn't how most people think of Africa, but this is a gorgeous African sunrise we enjoyed in 2007. We found Africa to be a land rich in resources and filled with vibrant people yearning for the opportunity to blossom, but we also found it full of spiritual darkness and traditions that hold people in the grip of destructive ways of living. This is where we are headed for several months of this next year. I'm confident we will learn much, and my hope is that we will go with an attitude of willingness to serve others.
